SCHAUMBURG, IL – 14 future manufacturing leaders and executives became the second graduating class from the Technology & Manufacturing Association’s (TMA) Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) offered in partnership with Judson University.
DES PLAINES – A new strategic partnership allows manufacturing apprentices and students pursuing careers in manufacturing through the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA) to obtain college credits at Oakton College in Des Plaines, creating a pathway for the next generation of manufacturers to grow in their education and career.

SCHAUMBURG – This week, the Technology & Manufacturing Association’s Training & Education Department launched another year of preparing a new generation of skilled manufacturers. An even 100 apprentices will be taking TMA classes this fall – paid for by their employers.
STREAMWOOD – Seventy Chicago area high school students recently used their machining skills to help disabled individuals walk again.
Leigh McConnell, who works directly with high schools to implement the Foundation’s grant program, reports a substantial sum of private support distributed in the 2022-2023 school year to Chicago area high schools promoting machining skills.
The manufacturing industry has long sounded the alarm about the “The Grey Tsunami” that is sweeping away skilled, experienced, and valuable manufacturing professionals. The question is – where will the next generation of manufacturers come from and how will they be trained?
