TMA Speaks with Kathy Salvi, 2022 Illinois candidate for U.S. Senate

CHICAGO – The Technology & Manufacturing Association is working to inform our small and midsized manufacturers about the candidates on the 2022 General Election ballot – and specifically, candidates on Illinois’ ballot.

The whole recorded series of “TMA Conversations with 2022 Candidates” will be available online.  Federal Congressional and US Senate candidates were invited to answer a brief questionnaire and join TMA members during a virtual 30-minute interview with members of the TMA Advocacy Team.

We will have at least one conversation with statewide candidates on the ballot.

The first conversation was held Wednesday, October 12, with Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11).

The second was with Catalina Lauf, who is challenging Foster’s re-election for the 11th CD in 2022.

The third was with Scott Gryder, who is challenging incumbent US Rep Lauren Underwood in Illinois’ 14th CD. (Rep. Underwood has thus far not chosen to accept TMA’s invitation to speak with our members.)

The fourth was with Keith Pekau, who is challenging incumbent US Rep Sean Casten in Illinois’ new 6th CD. (Rep. Casten has thus far chosen not to accept TMA’s invitation to speak with our members.)

The fifth interview was with U.S. Senate candidate Kathy Salvi, who is challenging Illinois’ junior US Senator Tammy Duckworth.

Whoever emerges as the winner of the 2022 General Election will be one of two US Senators that represent the state of Illinois – one of 100 honored members of the U.S. Senate.
