CHICAGO – Nicole Wolter, TMA Board Treasurer and President of HM Manufacturing, was interviewed last week on NTD News about the September manufacturing jobs report and supply chain issues.
The interviewer mentioned a one percent growth in manufacturing in September.
Wolter, who also serves on the National Association of Manufacturers Board, said “The demand is starting to become more localized there’s such an initiative for reshoring,” she said. “It’s really good to see it ramp up. But it’s been rough to keep the workforce.”
Reshoring is great, but workforce shortage is keeping things from fully kicking in as it could, she said.
