More and more, small and mid-sized Illinois businesses are tapping into quickly developing biometric technology to provide accurate payroll and benefits accounting for their employees.

CHICAGO – After announcing in January 2024 a new research lab to be located on Chicago’s Goose Island, 85 year old Blommer Chocolate announced in March it is closing its Chicago manufacturing doors.
SCHAUMBURG – The Technology & Manufacturing Association initiated the 2024-2025 TMA Board of Directors at the group’s 98th Annual Meeting held March 9th at the Mazak Corporation’s Schaumburg Headquarters.

SCHAUMBURG – While huge corporations such as White Castle have been in the news concerning the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), numerous members of the Technology & Manufacturing Association are in the midst of or have already settled unexpected lawsuits concerning the law set into motion in 2008.
DES PLAINES – High school instructors that teach skills used in machining and manufacturing are a unique brand. Even though their specialty is indeed special, the skills they teach are crucial to the USA’s welfare – in so many different ways.
I have been in the manufacturing industry since the late 1970s and aside from its schooling program in the early 1980s, I have had very little direct contact with the Technology & Manufacturing Association.
