Members of the Technology & Manufacturing Association returned to the Schaumburg headquarters March 3, 2022 to welcome the 2022 TMA Board Chairman Tom Simeone (Manor Tool & Mfg fg f ) and three new board members Althea Mottl (Atlas Tool Works), Mike Magliano (Cushman & Wakefield) and Lynn Dreisilker (Dreisilker Electric Motors). TMA’s 2021 Board Chairman Ben Barnett stepped down from his post, while treasurer NicoleWolter (HM Manufacturing) and Board member Craig Zoberis (Fusion OEM) stepped up into the Board’s Executive Committee level.

At the meeting, reports showed that TMA has held steady in membership and services during a very challenging year. Not only did the COVID crisis present unusual demands on the board and staff, leadership changes took place at the same time.
The retirement of former TMA President SteveRauschenberger in July 2021 led to a new TMA role for Patrick Osborne as president with Dennis LaComb as executive vice president and chief of staff. Jessica Pierce continues as president of TMA’s healthcare Benefits Services. TMA Board Chairman Tom Simeone told those attending the Annual Meeting that he looks forward to the coming year and appreciates the opportunity he’s been given to provide guidance as the association continues its great work of providing information, community, advocacy and training for the TMA membership. “When you stand on shoulders of giants, I’m standing on the shoulders of all the people that went before me as chairmen of the TMA Board,” Simeone said. “I consider myself lucky to be even considered in the group.”
“Manufacturing in this state is a great legacy that we’ve been given by our heirs and people worked all their lives to keep it going,” he said. “Maybe, just maybe, the politicians will start treating us like something they want to keep around.” The TMA Annual Dinner is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7th.
