In an array of Centennial congratulations, TMA hears from Chicago Sports Stars
The Technology & Manufacturing Association’s Centennial Dinner, celebrating the Association’s 100 years of serving small and mid-sized manufacturers, featured an array of congratulatory videos, including those from Chicago sports team stars, national media personalities, members of Congress, the Illinois General Assembly, and key organizational leaders.
Friday night, October 3rd, a sold-out crowd packed the unique Artifact Events venue in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood, an occasion-fitting location, as it originally housed the Boye Needle Company, which manufactured sewing needles in the past.
Hundreds of new and longtime TMA members were delighted to hear “Congratulations!” from veteran Chicago Cubs’ outfielder Andre Dawson, 1985 Chicago Bears champions’ Jim McMahon and Mike Singletary, among other sports stars.
In addition, U.S. Congress members Darin LaHood and Mike Bost congratulated TMA, as well as several members of the Illinois General Assembly and TMA’s Small and Midsize Manufacturers Caucus (SaMM Caucus), including State Reps. Dave Vella, Jeff Keicher, Marty McLaughlin, Joe Sosnowski, and other lawmakers.
Non-profit group leaders, including Phil Melin of Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA), Noah Finley of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), and Alisha Martin of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), joined the dinner in person and extended their congratulations via video.
