LINCOLNSHIRE – Leonard L. Larsen, 83, of Larsen Manufacturing, was born November 2, 1940 in Chicago and passed away November 11, 2023. Raised in Lincolnwood, Illinois, he graduated from Niles High School in 1958.
Leonard raised his family in Des Plaines and Mt. Prospect, Illinois from 1964-1990. He worked for the family business Electro-Metal Products in Skokie, Illinois, where he became president in 1980.
During his retirement, Leonard and his wife Sue split their time between residences in Lincolnshire Illinois and Naples Florida.
He enjoyed family, friends and helping the family business Larsen Manufacturing grow.

Leonard was a sponsor and member since 1999 of the Technology & Manufacturing Association in Schaumburg, Illinois.
He was an avid golfer, hunter and fishermen. He enjoyed his bowling and poker nights with his many friends.
Leonard was the beloved husband of Joyce “Sue” Larsen (Collinet); loving father of Larry (Caren) Larsen, Michael Larsen, Gail (Dave) Fuerst, David (Amy) Larsen and Denis (Veronica) Larsen; cherished grandfather of Jessica (Matt), Jennifer (Timothy), Katherine (Lenny), Angela, Mac, Daisy, Savanna, Lea, Sylvester, Victoria, Jonathan, Von, Ian and the late Kristen and Brian; great grandfather of Grace, Eleanor, Maisie, Brooke, Odette and Emerson; dear brother of the late Carol Smott.
Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday November 18, 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 12:30 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
