IMTS reaches out to all-important job shops in 2018

CHICAGO – Every other year, the International Manufacturing and Technology Show comes to Chicago’s McCormick Convention Center. 2018 is the year – September 10 through 15.

For 90 years, IMTS has been the premier manufacturing technology show in the Northern Hemisphere. IMTS 2016 hosted 2,407 exhibitors, 115,612 registrants within its 1.37 million sq. ft. of floor space. IMTS attracts buyers and sellers from 117 countries.

And this year, the convention planners are putting a special emphasis on job shops, those smaller manufacturing companies where custom orders are made. IMTS will offer opportunities tailored for job shops.

On this MakingChips podcast, guest Michelle Edmonson, Senior Director of Exhibitions Operations and Marketing at AMT, explains the value of IMTS for job shops.

TMA Board members Jim Carr and Jason Zenger – MakingChips’ co-hosts talk with Michelle about the reasons job shop owners and manufacturers should attend IMTS 2018.
